If you find that your busy schedule does not allow you to explore your artistic and culinary interests and talents then come take advantage of the personalized summer weekend workshops offered at Chatham Hill Arts, and allow your creative process to unfold.
Chatham Hill Arts is located on 50 beautiful, secluded acres of Columbia County, New York in the foothills of the Berkshires. It is two and a half hours from Manhattan and an hour from Tanglewood and Jacobs Pillow.
Chatham Hill Arts Director, Rose Viggiano (fine arts website), oversees these summer weekend workshops. She is a professional artist as well as an enthusiastic cook and beekeeper. She has created a program that is both nurturing and inspiring where she shares her passions and expertise with others.
Workshops are offered by experienced professionals in the 18th century farmhouse at Chatham Hills. Family style, home-cooked lunches made with local Hudson Valley products are served amidst the striking views. In this relaxed environment experts Maria Ferrari, James Fisher, Joy Nagy and Linda Pelaccio offer instruction in Photoshop workflow, beekeeping, watercolor for beginner and intermediate students, and cooking with local Columbia County ingredients. These small workshops offer you a forum that is rich in subject matter and support. Join us this summer and explore your hidden talents or fine-tune existing ones.
For those who live outside of Chatham area, accommodations are available at these lovely bed and breakfasts: The Inn at Silver Maple Farm and The Inn at Green River. Limited accommodations are also available at Chatham Hill Arts, please contact us for details.
